SAFE and the management of Esso have through constructive dialogue reached agreement regarding hiring and employment

SAFE and the management of Esso have through constructive dialogue reached agreement regarding hiring and employment. The signed document addresses the principles for determining which jobs can be staffed by contractors due to the temporary nature of the work, and which jobs are more permanent in nature and will be filled by own employees. This will, as an example, mean that employees that retire or for other reasons stop working for Esso will be replaced by new employees.

Esso Norge AS and SAFE have reached an agreement on hiring and employment

SAFE and the management of Esso have through constructive dialogue reached agreement regarding hiring and employment. The signed document addresses the principles for determining which jobs can be staffed by contractors due to the temporary nature of the work, and which jobs are more permanent in nature and will be filled by own employees. This will, as an example, mean that employees that retire or for other reasons stop working for Esso will be replaced by new employees.

SAFE agree with Esso that there is a need for some flexibility, primarily in respect of planned offshore project, and therefore parts of hiring will be maintained.

SAFE pointed out that the agreement has been made possible because both the employee representatives and management have had the same goals of high level of HSE performance, stability and high uptime. The club is also delighted that the recruitment campaign already started the day after the agreement was in place.

The joint press release is developed in collaboration between SAFE and Esso Norge AS.
